MN350 is hiring part-time canvassers for the 2024 election cycle! 

MN350 is looking for canvassers to work part-time during the 2024 election cycle. This position reports to the Election Coordinator at MN350, and will based either in the Twin Cities metro area or the Duluth metro area. This position is temporary, lasting until Nov 9, 2024. Canvassing will be largely non-partisan (C3), and will concentrate on Get Out The Vote efforts in different parts of the state. Occasionally, canvassing may involve working with MN350 Volunteers, providing assistance to first-time canvassers.  

Status: Part-Time, Temporary 

Pay: $25/hr, 20 hours/wk

Requirements

• Prior experience with door-to-door canvassing
• Must be comfortable with frequently traveling outside of the Twin Cities Metro Area
• A flexible schedule with the ability to work primarily on weekends.
• A valid driver’s license
• A desire to work in intersectional environmental causes in Minnesota

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working GOTV during election seasons
• Ability to work independently or in small groups 
• Experience canvassing with VAN or other canvassing software
• Working knowledge of issues that intersect with environmental causes, including but not limited to: Mass Transit, Food Systems, and Housing. 

Duties

• MN350 Paid Canvassers will work in pairs to door knock in different parts of Minnesota during the election season. 
• Paid Canvassers will be largely working within the area of GOTV and non-partisan canvassing.
• Canvassers will report to the Election Coordinator who will provide scripts and lists ahead of time. 
• Navigating often difficult conversations about the experiences residents have regarding environmental issues while maintaining a non-partisan demeanor.
